Nothing says the holidays like the aroma of warm, spiced wine filling your home. We love to make mulled wine this time of year — just start with a good red, and the rest is pure magic!
Ingredients
- 750 ml dry, fruity red wine
- 2 cups apple cider
- ¼ cup honey
- 1 orange, zested and juiced
- 5 cloves, 4 green cardamom pods, 2 cinnamon sticks, 1 star anise
- ¼ cup brandy
- Orange slices & cinnamon sticks for garnish
Instructions
- Combine wine, cider, honey, and orange in a large pot.
- Add spices and simmer gently for 30 minutes — don’t let it boil!
- Stir in brandy, ladle into mugs, and garnish.
