Nothing says the holidays like the aroma of warm, spiced wine filling your home. We love to make mulled wine this time of year — just start with a good red, and the rest is pure magic!


Ingredients

  • 750 ml dry, fruity red wine
  • 2 cups apple cider
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 1 orange, zested and juiced
  • 5 cloves, 4 green cardamom pods, 2 cinnamon sticks, 1 star anise
  • ¼ cup brandy
  • Orange slices & cinnamon sticks for garnish

Instructions

  1. Combine wine, cider, honey, and orange in a large pot.
  2. Add spices and simmer gently for 30 minutes — don’t let it boil!
  3. Stir in brandy, ladle into mugs, and garnish.
